Solely dedicated to the needs of NYC dance, we focus on raising awareness of the extraordinary legacy and ongoing creativity of dance in NYC; on issues of space and real estate; on advocacy and data gathering, and as a provider of professional development activities designed for all segments of the dance community in New York City.

September, 1944: Dance devotees find a range of information about dance, from a 19th century Italian tarantella to the programs of Hanya Holm’s first concerts, at the newly formed Dance Division of the New York Public Library.
